Nachricht vom Feind (2019)

Nachricht vom Feind is my debut album, released in 2019 on my independent label Deserteur.
The record marked the beginning of my artistic language as a solo artist and storyteller.

The album explores inner and societal conflict through metaphor, tension, and contrast. Its lyrical world is shaped by confrontation, doubt, power structures, and emotional resistance - often using militaristic imagery as a symbolic framework rather than a literal one. The songs move between intimacy and distance, vulnerability and defiance, creating a cinematic atmosphere that unfolds gradually.

Musically, Nachricht vom Feind creates a symbiosis between classical, heroic string arrangements and orchestral elements, and more contemporary electronic textures. This interplay forms a dramatic, cinematic soundscape in which emotion and narrative are carried as much by composition as by melody.

The lyrics follow a strong storytelling approach, addressing both personal experiences and broader societal observations through metaphor rather than direct statement. Socially critical themes and intimate reflections coexist, allowing multiple layers of meaning to emerge.

The title track was created in collaboration with the Metropolis Orchester Berlin, expanding the album’s sonic language into an orchestral dimension and underlining its cinematic approach.

As my debut work, Nachricht vom Feind laid the foundation for my later development across music, visual storytelling, and film - establishing themes and aesthetics that continue to shape my work today.

Modus Operandi (2022)

Modus Operandi is my second studio album and an exploration of the dual nature of human beings and relationships. Through poetic and metaphorical storytelling, I examine intimacy, power, vulnerability, and the coexistence of light and darkness within human connection. The songs move between reflection and provocation, questioning rather than explaining.

The album is shaped by personal experiences, inner processes, and an engagement with the world as it unfolds. Private moments and societal dynamics intertwine, reflecting how closely the personal and the political are connected in a time marked by uncertainty and tension.

Metaphor is central to my work. It allows emotions, relationships, and inner conflicts to unfold without offering clear resolutions. The songs are not meant to simplify complexity, but to hold it, mirroring the ambivalence of human nature and contemporary life.

Musically, Modus Operandi blends orchestral elements with chanson influences, acoustic textures, and electronic soundscapes. This hybrid language reflects the emotional layers of the album, sometimes restrained, sometimes expansive, sometimes raw. All songs are self-composed, with composition and sound design functioning as an extension of the storytelling itself.

While the album retains a combative undercurrent, it ultimately turns inward. It is more self-reflective, grounding, and consoling than my earlier work, tracing themes of endings and new beginnings, rupture and transformation.
